<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drive an AD-driven heater for both 100 V and 200 V by a proper electric power regardless of the magnitude of the voltage of a commercial power supply, without providing an exclusive circuit for the detection of AC input voltage. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A control unit 90 detects a PFC drive current Ipfc using a structure used originally in the PFC circuit 20 of the power supply. The control unit decides whether the AC input voltage is 100 V or 200 V based on the detected current value, and controls the drive of a triac 63 based on the decided AC input voltage, optimizing the power supplied to a ceramic heater 62.
