<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent short circuit without increasing manufacturing processes, as elimination of an insulating film causes short circuit between display electrodes due to mixing of conductive foreign matter in a plastic liquid crystal cell with a manufacturing process temperature lower as compared with that of glass. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An insulating film 9 covering the display electrode 10 and a photolithography spacer 2 made of the same material as that of the insulating film are integrally formed on one plastic transparent substrates 11.
