<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a tire inner liner, having excellent resistance to air permeability and breaking elongation and improved in resistance to heat aging, and to provide a pneumatic tire using the same. Ž<P>SOLUTION: There are provided a rubber composition for a tire inner liner (9) provided by compounding 0.1-5.0 pts.mass dithiodicaprolactam in 100 pts.mass rubber composition containing ≥50 pts.mass butyl rubber, and a pneumatic tire using the rubber composition as the tire inner liner (9).
