PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data decompression device capable of performing extension processing of compressed data at high speed by referring to compression information regarding the compressed data stored in a memory and efficiently restoring the compressed data. SOLUTION: The data decompression device decompresses the compressed data such as image data, and includes: a first storage means for storing the compressed data and compression information of the compressed data; a detection means for referring to the compression information stored in the first storage means to detect continuation of uncompressed data based on the compression information; a second storage means for storing the continued uncompressed data detected by the detection means in block; and an output means for reading the data stored in the second storage means to output decompressed data.
