<p>The method involves aligning a camera in front of a driving direction, where the camera records an actual image of traffic conditions before a vehicle. The camera is attached to an external lateral periphery of the vehicle. The image is displayed on a display unit that is arranged in a viewing field of a driver of the vehicle. The image recorded by the camera is displayed, when an ahead-driving vehicle and the overtaking desire of the driver are detected, where the ahead-driving vehicle is detected by spacer sensors. An independent claim is also included for a device for supporting a driver of a vehicle, comprising a camera.</p> |
