PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating device or the like in which air is restrained from getting into a coating liquid even when and thixotropic coating liquid with high viscosity is applied at a high revolving speed of a core body.

SOLUTION: The coating device is provided with a holding member 12 holding a core body 10 with the axis line maintained at a horizontal level and rotating the core body 10 around the axis line, a dispenser 20 applying the coating liquid to the outer surface of the core body 10 while moving from one end of the core body 10 toward the other end along the axis line of the core body 10 held by the holding member 12, and a blade 22 equalizing in a predetermined thickness the coating liquid applied by the dispenser 20 to the outer surface of the core body 10 while moving with the dispenser 20 from one end of the core body 10 toward the other end with the tip end pressed on the outer surface of the core body 10 with a predetermined pressure. The surface in contact with the core body 10 in the tip end of the blade 22 is formed to curve or crook in a direction opposite to the curved direction of the outer surface of the core body.
