PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information transmission system which reduces a shift time when an operation state of a transmission line is shifted. SOLUTION: A lane number switching packet generation portion 24 generates a lane number switching packet that instructs switching between operation states of each of lanes 19B-19D. A byte striping 28 distributes and transmits transmission object information to the lanes 19B-19D which are regarded as effective states in the lane number switching packet. A byte un-striping 48 restores the transmission object information based on the information transmitted to the lanes 19B-19D which are regarded as the effective states in the lane number switching packet.
