<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extension cord capable of restraining enlargement of a tap body in the extension cord having a foreign object intrusion prevention function. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The extension cord includes: a foreign object intrusion restraining section 70 mounted at a rear side of a front wall 71 and opening and closing a plug blade insertion hole 711; a first blade receiving member 30 and a second blade receiving member 40 arranged at a rear side rather than the foreign object intrusion restraining section 70; and the tap body 1 having a body 60 with pressure receiving sections where the first blade receiving member 30 and the second blade receiving member 40 are respectively press-fitted. The first blade receiving member 30 and the second blade receiving member 40 are integrally formed by respectively pressing metal plates, and blade receiving sections 32, 42 for receiving plug blades and press-fitting sections 33, 43 for being press-fitted into a press-fitting storage section are respectively arranged on the first blade receiving member 30 and the second blade receiving member 40, and the press-fitting sections 33, 43 are formed to make an insertion direction as a direction inserted by the plug blade become a plate thickness direction.
