<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of increased cost, due to respectively requiring detection sensors, when having a sheet existence detecting means on a sheet loading means and a last sheet detecting means for detecting the last sheet. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A rotary body 50 rotates when the last sheet is fed, and is output to High and Low repetitive signals from a photointerrupter 51 by a slit 50b formed in the rotary body 50. The last sheet is detected based on this signal, and the existence of the sheet is also detected by movably supporting the rotary body 50 in a light shielding-projecting position of the photointerrupter 51 in response to the existence of the sheet on a tray 40.
