<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that for a liquid crystal display panel having a color filter disposed on a counter substrate, an element substrate and the counter substrate are required to be assembled while aligning with extremely high accuracy, and in the case the accuracy is low, an opening ratio is lowered and the display is darkened. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display panel has: thin film transistors arranged on one surface of a first substrate; an insulating film disposed on the thin film transistors; a color filter disposed on the insulating film; pixel electrodes disposed on the color filter and electrically connected to the thin film transistors; a second substrate disposed so as to be opposite to the one surface of the first substrate; post spacers to hold the gap between the first substrate and the second substrate; and a liquid crystal disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate.
