The eye 224 of a motor-driven screw-and-nut actuator is adjustable axially relative to the non-rotatable screw 223 without altering their relative rotational positioning. The adjustment is effected by a rotatable nut 448 having opposite hand threaded portions 451, 452, of different pitch, engaging threads 454 on a sleeve 442, rigid with the screw 223, and threads 453 on an eye-carrying member 447 which is keyed to the sleeve 442 for sliding, but not rotational movement relative thereto. A member 455 is provided to lock the nut in its adjusted position. |
