This suspension comprises means for the longitudinal retention of the axle relative to a chassis of the vehicle, in particular two longitudinal bars (4, 6), and means for the transverse retention of this axle relative to this chassis, also forming anti-roll means. These transverse retention means comprise a basic structure (10), two first swivel joints (20, 22) providing the articulation between the basic structure and the axle, one additional swivel joint (24) providing the articulation of the basic structure with the chassis, and two additional connecting members (50, 60), connecting the basic structure and the chassis, these additional connecting members performing the anti-roll function.
