ELECTROCHEMICAL CELL USING GAS TO LIQUID CATALYST

PURPOSE: An electrochemical cell using a GTL catalyst, and the GTL catalyst are provided to prevent the decrease the lifetime and the increase of the resistance of the cell, by liquefying gas generated from forming a layer of a negative electrode. CONSTITUTION: An electrochemical cell includes an electrode assembly comprising a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a separator. The positive electrode is obtained by coating one side of a metal current collector with an active material. The separator insulates the positive electrode and the negative electrode. The active material and the separator include less than 1wt% of GTL catalyst. The GTL catalyst liquefies gas generated from an activation of the electrodes.
