PURPOSE: A lighting device for a controller symbol of an air conditioning system for a vehicle is provided to simultaneously indicate the on/off of a knob device using the lighting color of a lighting device lighting a symbol. CONSTITUTION: A lighting device for a controller symbol of an air conditioning system for a vehicle comprise a plurality of knob devices(3). The knob devices comprise a body(5), a tact switch(7), a symbol(12), and a lighting device, respectively. The symbol is formed at the body. The lighting device lights the symbol. The lighting device comprises a polychromatic LED(30) and a controller(40). Depending on control signals, the polychromatic LED lights in various colors. The controller controls the polychromatic LED to change the color of the polychromatic LED depending on the on/off of the tact switch.
