FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to orthopaedic dentistry, and can be used in clinical practice for making custom trays of both jaws in overdenture complete arch restoration. For the upper jaw, at first, a plastic template is made to shape a bent metal plate substrate with polyvinylchloride double coating, with forming a palate by cutting a warmed base plate wax shaped after an internal edge of a substrate border and casting the plate to an edge of the substrate border with warmed wax, fitting the substrate on an upper ridge, pasting an external edge of the fit the substrate border with sprue wax, cutting a back part of the substrate within maxillary tubers with scissors and pasting with warmed sprue wax, fitting the substrate on the upper ridge and treating the borders with functional tests, then transforming the substrate in a custom tray by covering an inner surface of the substrate with a base silicone alginate film, fitting the substrate on the upper ridge with functional tests for treating the silicone alginate at the edge of the substrate borders, and after curing the alginate, making a custom tray for the upper jaw. For the lower jaw, the process starts with making a plastic template to shape a bent metal plate substrate with polyvinylchloride double coating to be fitted on the upper ridge of the patient, with pasting an edge of the substrate border with sprue wax and fitting once again on the alveolar process of the lower jaw, herewith performing functional tests, then transforming the substrate in the custom tray by covering the inner surface of the substrate with the base silicone alginate film, fitting the substrate on the lower ridge and performing functional tests to treat the silicone alginate at the edge of the substrate borders, and after curing the alginate, making the custom tray for the lower jaw. ^ EFFECT: ensured correct compensation and fitting of the substrate directly in the mouth cavity that leads to elimination of the stages of preliminary anatomic tray impression, plaster pattern casting and thereby making a plastic custom tray, therefore reducing visits and labour input of making the custom trays. ^ 2 ex |
