FIELD: metallurgy. ^ SUBSTANCE: procedure for production of zinc oxide out of sulphate solution consists in extracting zinc containing sediment out of solution by sedimentation with ammonium hydroxide. Further sedimentation is treated with solution of ammonium carbonate or bi-carbonate, is dried and tempered. Upon zinc containing sediment extracting it is loaded in an autoclave almost filling the volume of the latter. Sediment in the autoclave is heated to 130-170C temperature and conditioned at this temperature and at equilibrium pressure of zinc hydroxide decomposition exceeding external pressure in the autoclave above sediment. Further there are executed sediment filtering, washing and drying. Sediment is tempered at temperature from 300 to 700C. ^ EFFECT: reduced power consumption at filtration, drying and tempering; reduced consumption of reagents and improved ecological characteristics of process. ^ 5 dwg, 3 tbl, 1 ex |
