METHOD FOR DETERMINING EFFECT OF HETEROSIS IN FISH

A method for determining the effect of heterosis in fish provides for using a thermal shock on fish embryos and carrying out a series of mathematical calculations according to the results obtained. Once the embryos had achieved critical developmental stages, groups under study are subjected to the effect of thermal shock by means of submerging Petri dishes with roe into a container with the water preliminary heated in a thermostat up to the corresponding temperature. Then an assessment of the resistance of the embryos is carried out by a method of simple calculation of freely swimming embryos of different origin obtained as a result of incubation. After that the absolute values are converted into relative values of normed deviations according to the Urbach formula and correlations are determined with the aid of calculating the pair linear correlation or information T-function.
