A method for loosening the upper soil layer wherein soil cultivation equipment with flexible sleeves is laid into soil in parallel to each other. with openings therein. Nozzles are mounted to openings in the sleeves, and then cross-section areas of the flexible sleeves are gradually increased by forcing a working medium therein. In doing so the equipment is laid at the depth of loosening the upper layer of the soil, and the cross-section areas of the flexible sleeves are increased alternatively starting from the utmost flexible sleeve. The equipment for realizing the method comprises the flexible sleeves with openings in walls thereof, one ends of the sleeves are closed, and other are connected to a pump to deliver water.
