The device has a support (4) for supporting a plate (5) receiving objects to be loaded or unloaded, where the support is articulated with connecting rods (6, 7). The support is movable between a position in which the support and the rods are folded on a horizontal surface and another position in which the rods are raised above the surface and maintain the support and the plate in a horizontal position. Height adjusting units adjust the height of the support relative to the surface, where the adjusting units are cooperated with one of two rods to adjust its inclination compared to the surface. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle including a storage boot comprising a floor and an access opening.
