A method for producing hot-rolled stock includes continuous pouring ingots in one or more lines, dividing the ingot into billets, equalizing the billet temperature over the cross section and further rolling thereof. In addition, simultaneously with displacement of the partially crystallized ingot, it is locally reduced by successive operations in two mutually perpendicular directions up to closing the surface crystallized layers, and dividing the ingot into billets in the place of local reduction. Completion of crystallization temperature equalizing by the length and cross section of the ingot and divided billet is performed by thermostatting thereof.
