VIDEO REPRODUCTION DEVICE, VIDEO SYSTEM, AND METHOD OF CONVERTING REPRODUCTION SPEED OF VIDEO

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smooth motion of a video in process of special reproduction, in a video reproduction device.

SOLUTION: This video reproduction device includes: a buffering part (100) configured to temporarily retain and output an input video signal; and a video speed conversion part (101) configured to create interpolation frames in response to motion of the video by using a plurality of video frames from the buffering part, and output a video signal with a reproduction speed converted by combining the interpolation frames with the video frames from the buffering part. The temporal interval of the video frames of the video signal output from the buffering part, and a creation process and a combining process of the interpolation frames in the video speed conversion part are controlled in accordance with a control signal showing a reproduction speed.
