CHONDROGENIC DIFFERENTIATIONS OF ADIPOSE TISSUE-DERIVED MESENCHYMAL STEM CELLS USING GROWTH FACTORS

PURPOSE: A method for inducing from fat-originated mesenchymal stem cells to chondrocytes is provided to safely treat osteoarthritis by transplanting. CONSTITUTION: A transforming growth factor-beta 2(TGF-beta 2) differentiates fat-originated mesenchymal stem cells to chondrocytes by culturing the cells in a medium. The fat-originated mesenchymal stem cells are obtained by isolating fat tissue and culturing in a medium for culturing stem cells. The medium for chondrogenesis contains insulin-like growth factor-1(IGF-1). A composition for treating cartilage injury contains the chondrocytes.
