PURPOSE: A display apparatus is provided to overlappingly arrange light guide plates in a vertical lower part of a display panel, thereby easily configuring a backlight assembly. CONSTITUTION: A display panel displays an image. A light source emits light which displays the image. A light incident surface on which light is incident is opposite to the light source. A facing surface faces the light incident surface. A light emitting surface includes a non-effective emission area and an effective light emitting area which connects the non-effective emission area adjacent to the light incident surface with the facing surface. The light emitting surface is opposite to the rear side of the display panel. A rear surface(37) faces the light emitting surface.
