<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid an increase in the number of components and image density reduction, and also to surely prevent an image memory phenomenon, in the case of introducing a hybrid development system. <P>SOLUTION: In the developing device 34 where a developer carrier 54 that carries a developer containing toner and carrier, and a toner carrier 48 that carries the toner supplied from the developer carrier 54 rotate to move in the mutually opposite directions in the counter part where the developer carrier 54 and the toner carrier 48 face each other, and an electric field formed between the developer carrier 54 and the toner carrier 48 is substantially an oscillation electric field having a direction to supply the toner from the developer carrier 54 to the toner carrier 48, a toner carrying amount (M/A1) per unit area on the toner carrier 48 is ≤4g/m<SP>2</SP>, and a product (Rd×M/A1) of a circumferential velocity ratio Rd and the toner carrying amount (M/A1) is ≥4g/m<SP>2</SP>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
