<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new conjugated fiber which has excellent water-repelling performance and sufficient strength, little lowers an early time water-repelling property, even when used for a long period, repeatedly washed, or the like, and is excellent in hand. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The water-repelling sheath-core type polyester conjugated fiber includes a specific ester-reacting silicone and particles in a polyester polymer constituting the sheath portion, and has 1 to 50 particle protrusions per length of 100 μm on the surface of the fiber, wherein the single filament has a cross-sectional shape radially having 4 to 48 protrusions, and has a deformation degree of 1.1 to 2.5 and a single filament fineness of 0.1 to 3.0 dtex.
