<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce influence of the clipping distortion power on reception quality in a power amplifier. <P>SOLUTION: A transmission device includes a means for performing a serial-parallel conversion process, a coding process, and a modulation process to transmission data to generate a transmission data signal, a means for selecting a subcarrier used for transmission among the subcarriers included in a system band, and allocating the transmission data signal to each of the selected subcarriers, a means for performing an inverse fast Fourier transform of the transmission data signal allocated to each of the selected subcarriers, a transmission-amplification means for transmitting the transmission data signal subjected to inverse Fourier transform at a specified transmission power, and a use subcarrier control means for determining the number of used subcarriers based on RF circuit performance information indicating the performance of the transmission-amplification means and the specified transmission power.
