<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a possibility of too fast recording which occurs if recording is performed at a writing speed based on writing speed information of a recording medium when the recording medium is formatted in a file format different from a file format for guaranteeing a writing speed. <P>SOLUTION: The recording device includes a loading part for loading a detachable recording medium, a recording capacity acquisition means for acquiring a recording capacity of the recording medium loaded on the loading part, a recording speed information acquisition means for acquiring recording speed information to which the recording medium loaded on the loading part corresponds, a file format determination means for determining a file format used for the recording medium, and a validity determination means for determining validity of the recording speed information obtained from the recording speed information acquisition means based on the recording capacity acquired by the recording capacity acquisition means and the file format determined by the file format determination means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
