PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct distortion of a read image, which is caused by an inclination of a line sensor, by an image processing when the line sensor is inclined due to an external factor. SOLUTION: The image reading system includes: a line sensor 83a for reading out an image of a check 5; two or more markers 85a, 85b arranged within a reading range of the line sensor 83a; an inclination angle calculation part 112 for calculating an inclination angle of the line sensor 83a from a carrying direction of the check 5 in each image data based on marker images 85A, 85B included in the image data read out by the line sensor 83a; and an image correction part 110 for correcting distortion of each image data based on the inclination angle.
