摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refractory material for a heat treatment furnace having proper heat conductivity and strength to be disposed near outer flame of a burner. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This refractory material for the heat treatment furnace composed of a refractory 4 including SiC by 50% or more, and having a ratio of a longitudinal length (A) of a rotary kiln and a centrally-directed length (a) of the rotary kiln of a/A=0.5 or more, has a bulldozing structure formed by continuously disposing the plurality of refractory pieces in the longitudinal direction of the rotary kiln. Preferably, two or more arrays of the plurality of refractory pieces continuously arranged, are disposed in parallel with each other, and the refractory preferably has any of the circular cylindrical shape, triangular cylindrical shape, quadrangular cylindrical shape, pentagonal cylindrical shape and hexagonal cylindrical shape.
