PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for suppressing the occurrence of gloss unevenness of an image after being fixed due to flaws occurring on an endless belt, in an image fixing device using the endless belt. SOLUTION: A surface shape applying member 131 for applying an uneven surface to the surface of an endless belt member 110 coming into contact with a paper P on which an unfixed toner image is formed, to fix the toner image and an opposing member 132 for applying pressure to the endless belt member 110 between the opposing member 132 and the surface shape applying member 131 are arranged. At this time, the hardness of the surface of the opposing member 132 is lower than the hardness of the surface of the surface shape applying member 131. Thus, the effect of applying unevenness to the surface of the endless belt member 110 is enhanced to suppress such an influence that the flaws occurring on the surface of the endless belt member 110 due to the entering of the paper P appear on the image after being fixed.
