<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver or the like, which can carry out switching from strong hierarchy receiving to weak hierarchy receiving while restraining consumption power by effectively monitoring the receiving state of weak hierarchy by intermittently operating a tuner for weak hierarchy and a demodulation processing part during strong hierarchy receiving. <P>SOLUTION: The digital broadcast receiving device measures signal quality of weak hierarchy shown by a digital broadcast signal, collects and decodes a weak hierarchy signal and a strong hierarchy signal from the digital broadcast signal and measures movement amount and movement velocity of a user using a local device. When the movement amount and/or the movement velocity is equal to or greater than a prescribed threshold, whether or not the signal quality satisfies prescribed quality is determined. When the signal quality satisfies the prescribed quality, regeneration of the strong hierarchy signal is canceled and the weak hierarchy signal is regenerated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
