<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition and a method for the treatment and prevention of various causal agents which are sexually transmitted. <P>SOLUTION: For example, mucosal transmission of an antigen using a replicate defective gene delivery vehicle (especially, a replicate defective alphavirus vector and particles) is described. A composition containing a mucosal adjuvant and at least an antigen derived from HIV is also described. The use of these gene transmission vehicles at the induction of mucosal immunity response, local immunity response, and/or general immunity response after mucosal immunity regimen is provided. This invention includes a method of producing immunity response against an antigen. In a specific embodiment, this method includes a process of mucosal administration of a replicate defective gene transmission vehicle (or a vector) containing a polynucleotide coding at least an antigen (or its modified embodiment) to the target cell of the body under test, and here the antigen can stimulate immunity response in the body under test. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
