PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container top sealing device capable of reducing the load on a toggle link, reducing the frequency of exchanging components thereby, enhancing the reliability of the device, preventing occurrence of any defective molding without damaging an outer surface of a container top, and consistently sealing the container top. SOLUTION: The container top sealing device 8 has a pair of seal jaws 21 and 22 with both sides thereof being opened/closed by a toggle mechanism. The pair of seal jaws 21 and 22 consist of a preceding seal jaw 21 which is firstly in a fully closed state, and a succeeding seal jaw 22 abutted on the preceding seal jaw 21 after the preceding seal jaw 21 is in a fully closed state.
