PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspecting method for determining a color filter pixel in which insufficient film thickness such as half white void defect occurs in the inspecting method of the color filter colored by an inkjet system. SOLUTION: The inspecting method can detect the color filter pixel having a part in which the luminance becomes unusual in an image formed by lighting the surface of the color filter from the oblique direction to the surface and inputting the reflection light by an imaging means. When abnormal part having high brightness nearly continues in the long side direction or the short side direction of the color filter image, the inspection device determines that the defect of insufficient film thickness occurs in the image.
