<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an induction melting furnace preventing malfunction of a run-out detecting net caused by infiltration of molten metal during tapping from a gap generated in a joint part between a refractory material powdery layer in the upper part of a melting chamber and refractory cement forming a sprue. <P>SOLUTION: In the crucible-shaped induction melting furnace, a coil 4 is spirally wound around the outer periphery of the melting chamber 2 formed to have a crucible shape by a refractory material sintered layer 1A on the inner side and the refractory material powdery layer 1B on the outer side, and the run-out detecting net 6 is provided in a space with the refractory material powdery layer 1B on the outer periphery of the melting chamber 2 inside cylindrical coil cement 3 for holding the coil 4. The molten metal 5 is tapped from the sprue 9 formed by the refractory cement 8. A step part 12 is formed by swelling the refractory material powdery layer 1B on the sprue side of the upper part of the melting chamber 2 toward the tapping port 10 side at the tip of the sprue 9. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
