<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic watering device having a structure which surely prevents water leak when stopping water by water supply from an agricultural waterway to a rice field, and enabling unmanned draining and stopping water. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The automatic watering device enables unmanned draining and stopping water to perform an operation of draining water in the evening and stopping water in the early morning, by attaching a light sensor to the device, and vertically moving a valve of a passage to drain and stop water when an illumination in the sky becomes out of a previously fixed illumination range. The device is so formed that in a mechanism in which a male screw is processed in a part of about one-third in the middle of a main axis on a perpendicular line of a motor axis and a corresponding female screw part moves only in a range of the male screw so as to prevent water leak, it is possible to drain and stop water by attaching a valve to the female screw part, and to ensure water leak prevention, an elastic body is put between the female screw part and the valve. As a result of this, the valve is always continuously pushed downward using repulsion of the elastic body when stopping water, so water leak hardly occurs.
