STERILIZING DEVICE AND METHOD

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for efficiently sterilizing a package. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The sterilizing device (1) includes: a conveyer for conveying a package (6); and a housing (4) disposed above the conveyer, and having an inner chamber (2) and an outer chamber (3) which are separated from each other by a separation member (11) of a carrier unit (10). The outer chamber has an opening (8) for moving the package between the conveyer and the outer chamber. The inner chamber has an electron beam emission device (5) for sterilizing the interior of the package. The carrier unit supports the package and rotates around a vertical axis so as to move the package between the outer chamber and the inner chamber.
