PURPOSE: An air-fuel ratio control method and device of an LPG engine are provided to induce changes in output signals of an exhaust property detecting unit and determine the composition of currently used LPG fuel based on the changes. CONSTITUTION: An air-fuel ratio control method of an LPG engine is as follows. An air-fuel ratio control device makes changes in output signals of an exhaust property detecting unit. The composition of currently used LPG fuel is determined through a predetermined determination method based on the changes. The determined composition is reflected to air-fuel ratio control.
