PURPOSE: An intake and exhaust valve opening system is provided to reduce resistances in an engine by opening intake and exhaust valves of a combustion chamber in all the intake, compression, explosion, and exhaust strokes of the engine during fuel-cut driving of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: An intake and exhaust valve opening system is characterized in that intake and exhaust valves of a combustion chamber are kept open in all the intake, compression, explosion, and exhaust strokes of the engine during fuel-cut driving of a vehicle in a specified condition where the engine rpm and vehicle speed are over reference values and a jake brake(A6), an exhaust brake(A7), a foot-brake(A8), a clutch(A9), an accelerator(A10), a retarder brake(A11), and a parking brake(A12) are not used. Therefore, the rotary resistance of the engine is minimized. |
