<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To move a display monitor from a first surface of a camera body to a second surface only through a rotating operation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An outer case 2 of an imaging apparatus has an upper surface 2c and a rear surface 2b which constitute an angular part 2g. A monitor movement mechanism 5 includes a monitor support part 41 to support a display monitor 3 and a guide part 42 to guide movement of the monitor support part 41 to cause the monitor support part 41 to rotate while a rotation center is changed. The monitor movement mechanism 5 then moves the display monitor 3 from the upper surface 2c of the outer case 2 to the rear surface 2b and from the rear surface 2b to the upper surface 2c.
