PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology by which even a person having no advanced knowledge of radio LAN can simply set the radio LAN with security without performing complicated setting operation. SOLUTION: In a method for exchanging security information between a recorder device having an access point function for the radio LAN and a television receiver, the recorder apparatus comprises a display device and a radio LAN setting button. When the radio LAN setting button in the recorder apparatus is depressed, a password is displayed on the display device and the password is inputted to the television receiver, so that authentication and setting operation can be automatically performed and the radio LAN can be simply set.
