Method for controlling a household washing machine

The method involves lifting a laundry (12) within an inner space of a washing drum (1) rotating about a horizontal axis within a suds tub (2), and rolling back the laundry to a deepest point of the washing drum. A time-based running of a pressure measurement value during rolling back of the laundry is compared with a typical running for a preset handling program. A deviation of the typical running is determined from the comparison result. Duration of an exposure time is adjusted in reciprocal to mechanical action of pressure impulses during rolling back of the laundry. An independent claim is also included for a household washing machine including a control device.
