Condensation dryer and method for its operation

The dryer (1) has a control device (10) and a drying chamber (3) for articles e.g. laundry, to be dried. A process air channel (2) accommodates a heater (4) for heating a process air, a heat exchanger (5) for cooling the process air after passing through the drying chamber, and a blower (6) for transporting the process air. A washing container is provided with a connector (33) at a water supply (35). The washing container comprises a lower container opening (21) and a cleaning line (20) is arranged between the heat exchanger and the washing container. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a condensation dryer.
