PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display is provided to accurately find contact information. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of pixels includes a liquid crystal capacitor which has a pixel electrode and a common electrode(270) as both terminals with a liquid crystal layer(3) between the pixel electrode and the common electrode. A sensing unit includes a sensing electrode(195). An insulating layer(130) is formed on the pixel electrode and the sensing electrode. An alignment layer(11) is formed on the insulating layer. A sensing device generates a sensing signal based on a control voltage from a variable capacitor.
