GATE DRIVE-IC IN PANEL (GIP) TYPE LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE AND TESTING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A gate drive-integrated circuit in a panel(GIP) type liquid crystal display device and a method for testing the same are provided to minimize the layout size of the display device by sharing a part of the GIP circuit unit with a charging and discharging circuit for inspecting defects. CONSTITUTION: A thin film transistor array substrate(10) arranges pixels which are defined by gate lines and data lines in a matrix shape. A data driving unit(30) applies a data voltage to the data lines. A GIP circuit unit(40) is formed on the thin film transistor array substrate and applies a gate voltage to the gate lines. A charging and discharging circuit shares the output end transistor of the GIP circuit unit with the GIP circuit unit.
