<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method or the like for equalizing degradation attenuation depending on a frequency with high precision in transmitting high-speed digital data for a long distance via a differential transmission path. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Sampling and holding circuits for sampling two point voltages of a clock edge signal are integrated into one system in common. When the sampling and holding circuits are integrated into one system, objects for comparison used for the same system cancel element mismatch for each other, so that influences by the element mismatch is suppressed. Also, an input stage using an offset canceler system is added to a comparison circuit to remove offset of an input signal, and comparison errors by the element mismatch of the comparison circuit are suppressed.
