#CMT# #/CMT# The method involves correcting an estimated value of capacity i.e. reid vapor pressure capacity, to vaporize the fuel in an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle using a multiplicative operator (25) and a summer (35), according to richness coefficient of burned fuel and air mixture determined by a richness regulation unit. The engine speed evolution during the cold-starting of the engine is compared with respect to the reference engine speed evolution using an estimating unit.
