<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fail-safe control method of an oil pump control unit for a hybrid vehicle, capable of securing traveling performance of a vehicle by fail-safe or limp-home control, when an electric oil pump or an oil pump control unit go of order, or when an abnormality occurs in a CAN communication line, or the like. <P>SOLUTION: It is determined whether an oil pump system is off or whether the CAN communication line for the oil pump control unit is off. Then, when the CAN communication line is off, a motor of the electric oil pump is operated, depending on an on/off state of a hard wire.
