<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical unit and a projector apparatus that are advantageous in reducing the size, weight and cost thereof. <P>SOLUTION: An optical member 54 is disposed on a frame 52, has a rectangular plate-shape having a width, a height, and a thickness, and reflects light. The frame 52 includes a pair of mount portions 56 holding both sides of the optical member 54 in the width direction. One of the surfaces of the optical member 54 is pressed against a thickness direction positioning surface 68, an end surface of the optical member 54 is pressed against a width direction positioning surface 74, and a lower end of the optical member 54, which is an end of the optical member 54 in the height direction on the other surface side, is pressed against an inclined surface 70.
