PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the torsional rigidity of a side sill of a vehicle body while reducing the number of parts. SOLUTION: A structure of the side sill 1 is formed into a hollow columnar shape by combining an upper inner panel material 111, a lower inner panel material 112, an upper outer panel material 121, and a lower outer panel material 122. Anisotropic materials, in which the direction of high rigidity is directed to a predetermined direction, are used for each of the panel materials 111, 112, 121, 122. The direction of the high rigidity of each of the panel materials 111, 112, 121, 122 is set inclining diagonally in the vertical direction to the front/rear direction of a vehicle, which is the longitudinal direction of the side sill 1. Further, the direction of the high rigidity of the upper inner panel material 111 and lower outer panel 122 is set in the crossing direction to the direction of the high rigidity of the lower inner panel material 112 and upper outer panel 121.
